About Apropos

Emily joined Apropos Advisory in January 2022 and brings to the team 25+ years of Human Resources experience in the oil & gas industry. She began her career in the banking industry specifically focused in the Energy sector. In 1997, Emily was employed at Mariner Energy, and was Vice President, Human Resources, at the point the merger was finalized with Apache Corporation in November 2010. From that point, she remained employed with Apache and held various positions including Director of Global HR Business Partners and Vice President of Community Partnerships & Employee Engagement.

Emily’s experience spans across all facets of HR which allowed her the unique opportunity to work with many top-level executives across different company sizes, management styles, strategies and company execution practices. Most recently at Apropos, Emily has been working extensively within the digital innovation, technology, and software space as it relates to energy data transition as well a focus in engineering and geosciences.

Joanna began her career as a licensed Psychologist focused on developing minds. As a mental health professional, she helped support and promote positive outcomes for children and those that sought the opportunity to better themselves. Her areas of expertise include providing psychological services, analyzing data, psychological & psychoeducational evaluations, and advocating for individuals with diverse backgrounds and abilities. 

Joanna has since focused her expertise and training to identify key leaders in the professional workforce. She began in construction and real estate recruiting and was instrumental in building some of the large-scale providers in that space. She now focuses on finding top talent in the energy industry focusing on a few key verticals including accounting, operations, and all things renewable or power related. 

She has worked with putting together the largest private outsourced accounting team, including Controllers, Accountants, and Specialty Accountants as well as countless operational leaders and engineers in the renewable and power and utilities industry. She has been instrumental in building the largest RNG operator in North America and she is on the cutting edge of burgeoning technology.
